  • ‘Red Flags’ in Mental Health Triage

Triage generally is a process of sifting and prioritising both in terms of urgency and relevance. ‘Red flags’ in mental health identify and place urgency on important items such as suicidal ideas or command hallucinations.

  • Using a Passer Rating score as a triage outcome measure

For a population of 3.2 million, the NHS 111Wales phone line provides health advice and information. Since May 2023, dedicated mental health advice has been available using option ‘2’. Can services be compared?

  • Who is still afraid of mental health triage?

We regularly allocate and prioritise referrals into NHS mental health services. One triage scale (the UK mental health triage scale) can include service user feedback heard in real time.
