Peter is a working GP and NHS Cheshire & Merseyside Clinical Lead for System and Quality Improvement. Previous to this he was Chair of South Sefton Clinical Commissioning Group and Director for Clinical Improvement at Mersey Care NHS Trust. He has worked within acute hospitals, mental health trusts and primary care as both a clinician and improvement advisor. He has extensive experience in commissioning, service design and quality improvement. He is a Health Foundation Quality Improvement Fellow and Fellow of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
