Biography
Scottish Improvement Leader and Flow Coach. Spreading QI capability and capacity, and applying QI principles daily. Involved currently in core QI programs in Dumfries and Galloway, and propagation of capability and capacity in QI.
Enjoy supporting practitioners to apply QI principles, and managing programmes of improvement. Enjoyed working recently on Best Start maternity services redesign in Dumfries and Galloway, Virtual Visiting project in Glasgow, mPower - eHealth and social prescribing initiatives in Wigtownshire, Scotland
Working with improvement science since 2008 in Scotland, with a pre-NHS background in commercial project and training management surrounding IT implementation programmes. Keen on using technology to connect people for better outcomes. Enjoy working with data but prefer working with people. Keen to make integration between health and social care, and also keen to build bridges to shift the care balance further into the community, and to empower patients to drive service improvement.
Enjoy rock climbing, hill walking, cycling, motorcycling, camping - and doing as much of this as I can with my family.

An Alcohol related Frequent Attender (ALFA) community nursing team
Alcohol related Frequent Attendance to A&E is a significant problem in Scotland. Close collaboration between specialised nurses and service-users will co-develop approaches to live well and reduce A&E visits
