I can never tire of hearing about the fantastic work happening by AHP colleagues. During our call tonight, we considered what this group offers, how we can connect, the tools we might use and the value of reciprocal sharing.

    • Hi Naomi
It sounds like a great call. I’ve just joined the group tonight and I’m unable to make the call on thursday. Will there be other opportunities to be involved/catch up? Thanks Claire

      • Hi All
I am looking forward to zooming in on Thursday. Is there anything for us to ponder in advance on the next conversation Naomi out of the interactions tonight?

      • Hi Claire Welcome to the tribe
and thank you for joining. There will be further opportunities as the group continues to evolve.

        We are currently talking about

        1. What the group might mean to members?

        2. What helps support QI work within AHPs work?

        3. How can members contribute to each other?

Feel free to share ideas, thoughts, experiences here.

Collaboration and generating are key to the groups success 😊

    • Hello, I connected then had a small child issue so missed the event last night!
Will try again tomorrow, thanks for starting this.

    • Hi Naomi and all,

I covertly join the Zoom yesterday, when my wife (a Speechie) joined. Great to hear from people 🙂

Sorry our wifi was a bit too rubbish, for some reason.

It’s a really good idea to make an event page for your public Zooms on the Q Events calendar here: https://q.health.org.uk/get-involved/your-events/?biro-post=0 (and to give people a few weeks notice, if possible – gives Q time to promote it too)

It makes them more visible and easier to share (eg over Twitter). Remembering a password, joining a group, searching for the relevant post with details is too many hurdles for a fair number of people. (Sarah almost gave up when she had issues logging in to the Q site).

Btw, I checked tomorrow’s Zoom and ticked the ‘video’ option (presumably you want video, not just sound?).

It’s often worth letting people know that they can always just dial in on a phone (if there are IT firewall issues).

Also worth setting up the room 15 (or even 30) minutes before, so people can get set up etc. And always remember to tick ‘Join before host’ (as you did), so others can get going, if you’re suddenly called to an AHP improvement emergency…

    • If you tweet about tomorrow’s Zoom, I can retweet it from the Q Community account…
