Lal Russell is a Physiotherapist at the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, a THIS Institute PhD Fellow and researcher at the University of Nottingham. She is a practicing specialist stroke clinician with a special interest in the rehabilitation of severe disability following stroke. She is employed on an NIHR ARC East Midlands study exploring the home-based rehabilitation of survivors of stroke with severe disability. Her PhD focus is the role of national clinical audit in driving quality improvement for stroke rehabilitation in the post-acute setting.
