Kathleen joined GIRFT as a Policy Manager in 2019. She is currently assigned to the following workstreams, mat & gynae, dermatology and endocrinology.
Kathleen graduated from The University of Melbourne with a BSc majoring in microbiology. Since then she has worked in biotechnology, and toxicology in Australia. She has a strong background in quality improvement, having developed quality systems for physiology services at Imperial under the IQIPS and QSI standards.
Since moving to London Kathleen has led two cardiology audits from the National Clinical Audit Patient Outcomes Programme (NCAPOP) funded by NHS England, as well as leading a 12-month campaign introducing quality improvement to the veterinary profession. She is particularly interested in innovation in healthcare and the NHS.
