Passionate about clinical research and quality improvement, and how to join the two in the NHS.  Particularly interested in how to create high performing teams and using digital technology to share, collaborate and communicate in virtual teams.

As Continuous Improvement Lead for the Clinical Research Network covering the North East and North Cumbria, my role is to increase awareness of improvement tools and methodologies and embed a culture where improvement is business as usual.  I aim to get people thinking differently, questioning more to find the real cause of problems and to step away from the tasks to look for innovative solutions and opportunities to change.  Measurement is key to showing the impact of the changes we make and finding ways to share outcomes to reduce reinventing the wheel across the country.
