Judy has a wealth of experience in bringing about successful change in teams and improvements in performance in her roles as a consultant at NEL Healthcare Consulting and previously as a Learning Development Consultant in an acute Trust. She has recently moved to new role for a private company so she can develop  the After Action Review quality improvement initiative in new settings. She will continue supporting a number of NHS clients. Her diverse portfolio of work includes designing bespoke education programmes for clinicians, increasing staff engagement in large teams, reducing bullying and harassment and coaching teams through change processes.

Judy is an expert in the After Action Review approach to increasing team performance, having led the programme at University College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for five years, and introduced the approach in a wide range of other settings.

Judy’s 30 years working for the NHS began as a hospital play specialist (HPS) and she grew the play service at UCLH from one HPS to 18 people, transforming the way paediatric services are delivered. She also held a national leadership role as head of her professional association.
