Joelle is currently redesigning the admission pathway for individuals presenting with foot complications on a background of diabetes in acute care; and has also developed a system wide programme for root cause analysis for unexpected major lower limb amputation in individuals with diabetes involving thematic support from an information and insight platform in Dorset (DiiS). She is hoping that involving digital insight as well as patient and health professionals in reviewing the systems and processes leading up to major amputation will enable health inequalities, access inequality and pathway challenges to be identified and help to shape service provision in the future. She is passionate about Quality Improvement and believes it is central to enabling service development.
