Biography

I am a clinical research and teaching associate within the School of Health and Related research at The University of Sheffield. I am Programme director for the MSc, PgDip, PgCert and CPD in Clinical Research (MClin Res)  and specialise in qualitative research and complex real-world mixed-methods evaluation.

As a state registered Occupational Therapist I have 19 years’ stroke specialist clinical experience and have active links and roles within the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.

I have a wide and far-reaching network of local and national clinical academics and NHS clinicians. I am passionate about using these links and networks to develop academic and health and social care organisations collaborations and research and service improvement projects to improve patient/service user care.

Professional activities

I am a founding member of the Sheffield Occupational Therapy Clinical Academics (CABOT) group. Member of the Collaboration for Research Neurological Network (CoRN) and an active member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists.

I peer review for many journals and organisations including the NIHR, Royal College of Occupational Therapy and the Stroke Association.
