Biography
Inspired by excellence. motivated by curiosity & hope for the future, driven by wanting to make a difference.
I would like to make a real difference to patients, improve outcomes and reduce health inequalities. I feel strongly about improving health, care and well being for all and a focus on healthier lifestyles in order to target disease prevention.
I am passionate about developing and supporting people working with health services and have completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Education in Primary Care. I am a qualified coach and have the ILM 5 coaching and mentoring certificate.
I completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Co-Producing Health in 2015. During this I was involved in co-producing a survey to ascertain the health needs of children with asthma. This informed the design of the local children's asthma service which has gone on to reduce the attendances of children with asthma at Accident and Emergency through better routine care.
I am committed to working collaboratively with all agencies involved in health and social care in order to meet the needs of patients and our communities.
I am working on the redesign of community based mental health services, how to improve the physical health of people with mental illness and improving the primary care management of mental illness.
Q Exchange ideas
Growing an NHS staff wellbeing network (started with mid-career GPs)
We all need psychologically safe spaces to connect & be heard in order to support our mental-wellbeing. Research on patient safety shows correlation between poor staff wellbeing and worse patient safety.
Growing skills for building the future
Our Improvement work is often in complex rapidly changing & uncertain environments. We would like to bring together a development programme to share the other skills we apply across a local systemwhat
