I lead the Trust’s improvement functions – this includes our Quality Improvement team as well as large scale change and transformation programmes that make a difference to the lives of staff and patients. The key is ensuring that we use the right set of skills to deliver the changes we require, and have a strong evidence base so we can show how and where we are making improvements. Increased use of digital technology and access to information, opening up patient portals and on-line booking, and encouraging innovation and new models of care are our current areas of focus.
I have a background in information and performance management, and have worked in the NHS for nearly 9 years. Before that I worked for the Audit Commission and the Probation Service. I started my working life in the private sector and worked as an information broker in both London and Australia.
