Hi all – The AWARE-IBD Project funded by The Health Foundation is a patient-led programme of service improvement for Inflammatory Bowel Disease. The main aim is to understand “what matters to you?” from a patient perspective and build that into cycles of service change. A really important part of this work is that we’ve co-designed and validated an IBD-specific Patient Reported Experience Measure (PREM) to evaluate the effects of service changes on the patient experience and outcomes, and to inform the service improvements we make. The project is run as a partnership between Crohn’s & Colitis UK, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the Sheffield Microsystems Coaching Academy and University of Sheffield.
