Biography

Dominic Furniss, PhD, holds degrees in Human-Computer Interaction and Human Factors (MSc, PhD) from University College London (UCL).   He is a member of the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors. His particular areas of interest include human factors, user research, usability engineering, sociotechnical system design, and Safety-II.  He has published three books and over 70 papers in various academic and professional journals. He is an honorary lecturer at UCL where he worked on ECLIPSE (Exploring the Current Landscape of Intravenous Infusion Practices & Errors), a research project funded by NIHR. His research has focused on the design and use of medical devices in context. He has created Errordiary, Microwave Racing and DiCoT.
