Biography

An improvement and change lead for the last 9 years working in acute providers.

A former Department of Health analyst and policy maker, Business Manager at the former Commission for Health Improvement regulator, and 10 years as an acute hospital general manager

Health Education East of England Quality Improvement Fellow.


Q Exchange ideas

  • Discharge Devices

    To use a QI collaborative approach to the co-design of a cross-boundary toolkit, for safe, effective, and efficient, discharge of patients, encompassing the viewpoint of all stakeholders.

  • Spread and embed LIFE QI at the L&D

    To introduce and embed a standardised tool (Life QI) across the L&D for recording improvement projects, facilitating sharing, and promoting a culture of improvement.

  • Understanding the barriers to flow and discharge

    Develop and test a hands-on model and toolkit, including a shadowing “app”, to analyse and quantify the system factors, plus inter-dependencies, causing delays in flow and discharge on a ward.
