Biography

Ceinwen is a trainer, consultant and speaker in the fields of patient experience and improving healthcare and outcomes. Following her own experience of Stage IV non-Hodgkin lymphoma, she developed a particular interest in the treatment, care and support offered to cancer patients and those with long-term conditions. Ceinwen’s work is based around principles of participation, drawing on her earlier work in the field of international development.

Ceinwen is an accredited Action Learning Set facilitator and an experienced programme manager and evaluator.  Ceinwen has worked widely across the charitable and health sectors in the UK and internationally and is a Trustee for the Point of Care Foundation.  She is a member of both the King’s Fund General Advisory Council and the BMJ Patient Partnership Panel. Ceinwen is also a Director of Shine Cancer Support, a charity that supports adults in their 20s, 30s and 40s with cancer.

Ceinwen is a well-respected public speaker on the topic of patient-centred healthcare and has given speeches at the NHS Confederation conference (2012 and 2014), the King’s Fund annual conference (2013 and 2016) and the NHS Employers conference (2012).  She has chaired conferences including the Future of Health Conference (2014), the Macmillan Cancer Voices Conference (2015) and is facilitating the East of England Patient Leaders Seminar in May 2017.
