Biography

I've been working in the NHS for 21 years, since graduating from the University of London with an honours degree in Psychology. My NHS career began with supporting quality improvement projects, first in the community with GPs and then with acute and outpatient services at Frimley Park. In 2013 I transitioned from project management to organisational development. As Organisation Development manager through the acquisition period at Frimley Health, my portfolio included the National Staff Survey, the organisational culture and values, developing effective team-based working and leadership development.

Returning to QI in 2019, I was thrilled to be part of the Improvement Advisor team, within the ELFT QI department. It's an amazing place to work. In particular I support these mental health services in the London Borough of Newham, and Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT, in Bedfordshire, Tower Hamlets, Newham and Richmond). I have also worked with our Enjoying Work learning system and passionately advocate for the way that we co-produce quality improvement with our service users.

My current role is as Associate Direct at NHS Elect. I work with member sites (NHS organisations) across the UK to support them in their QI capacity, capability and overall development. This involves teaching, facilitating, coaching and mentoring adapting to the needs of each member.
