I’d like to say a huge thanks to Naomi Burden who has led a small number of us to develop, submit – AND WIN – an award from the Health Foundation, to help this network develop and grow. Our possibilities together as a community of AHP improvers are huge….but like anything a kick-start can really help to get us to realise the potential.

That’s a great idea Karen – on the platform we’ve tried to make it as easy as possible for people to share, and I fully agree with your points, so many changes will be cultural and related to leadership, influence, and increased appetite to drive change quickly – all such important aspects to be captured – thank you for the prompts.
So, I guess…Read more

CALLING ALL CHANGE AGENTS!
I’m leading the collation of changes that have been made within the Allied health professions in response to COVID. Essentially looking for a really brief summary that captures what the change was, what difference it made, and whether there is anything needed to ‘lock it in’ so it becomes business as usual if it’s been a…Read more-
Great request Caroline. I wonder if it would also be useful to capture the ‘how’ as well as the ‘what’ and why this has been possible now? Context is so important in supporting spread and adoption and I heard again yesterday how it’s often not radically new things that have been implemented over the past 8-10 weeks but rather that mindsets and…Read more

hi, I said I would message you all on here in response to an ask that came through the COVID-19 AHP discussion forum (see my earlier thread if you haven’t accessed yet). Leaders are looking for support in finding innovative ways to create additional capacity – I’m sure most of you will already be supporting the rapid changes that are taking place…Read more

I’m wondering how the current coronavirus is affecting your trusts, and whether you are finding you are able to offer your QI support to the rapid changes that are happening in services? Has anyone found they’re making an impact? Any tips to share with others? I think as a community of improvers we have a HUGE amount to offer the NHS and social…Read more

This trust is mobilising all nurse and AHP staff to IP care and standing down all OP appts to allow this. This is supported by training and preparation for potentially a very different way for working for a period of time. A likely model will be a multi-disciplinary ward team of nurse, AHP and pharmacist. Changes will also shape the D2A model out…Read more

Sounds a great plan Helen – this has just been published:
