I co-ordinate the Pharmacy in Practice Community of Practice for Wales.
Interested in applied complexity science to health. Member of MetaPH & support the Sant Fe Institute for Complexity. I use the Cynefin framework and apply sensemaking to relevant projects.
Diagnostic Radiographer by background, interested in decision making, behavioural change & MDT working.
Portfolio includes HSJ award winning radiographer led emergency pallative cancer pathway, repeat prescribing, antimicrobial resistance, atrial fibrillation, primary care early years, community paramedics & primary care dietetics.
Previously worked for Cardiff & Vale UHB radiology in Nuclear medicine & Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI); keeping my hand in with the latter.
My change in career occurred after my first project to improve the experience for claustrophobic patients in MRI by using improvement, development and psychological techniques.

The primary care improvement team at 1000 Lives Wales were delighted to receive Q Exchange funding last year for a project focusing on improving repeat prescribing systems and have delivered two workshops of the ‘Opportunity Costing’ method.
Repeat prescribing through co-design is one of the projects to win Q Exchange funding. In this update, we describe what we have been doing behind the scenes and what is going on right now.
