Biography

Ali is a Research Associate working with the Centre for Pharmacy Workforce Studies (CPWS). He has considerable experience with quantitative and qualitative research in primary care/community pharmacy workforce and relevant education and training.

His particular research interests focus on expanding the role of community pharmacists and enhancing integration of pharmacy within primary care to provide more effective patient care.

Ali is currently a heel. He is working on:

  • Investigating ways to improve the quality of healthcare services provided at community pharmacies
  • PRUComm evaluation looking at how organisational and workforce developments associated with the introduction of primary care networks (PCNs) affect patients’ experience of continuity of care
  • NHS Health Education England commissioned evaluation of the Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician (PTPT) Training Pilot.
