Nerd Alert! Just some pictures from the end of the honeymoon in Cornwall. We went to the Eden project on the last day. Really impressive and such a wonderful place that raises awareness of Climate change and why we need to address the crisis not just for healthcare, but as a world issue.
Not sure if you can see on the picture of the sugar cane lorry, but apparently sugar cane accounts for 90% of biofuel. There is a debate over whether EV for transport is the way forward as it is charged by electricity from fossil fuel or nuclear power stations. And even then the particulate from budget tires can add to the air quality problem. The carbon trust’s report lays out ‘improvements’ especially for our WAST colleagues. What do you think? Hitting the target but missing the point? Not adventurous enough?
