    Hi all – the need for this SIG arose when the pandemic arrived, to connect improvement teams around the country to work together to re-design teaching materials for a virtual context. The group was a fantastic resource which allowed a lot of sharing, testing and learning quickly.

    I wanted to ask 2 questions…

    Firstly…does this group still hold value? Should it be maintained or archived?

    Secondly…if you think it should stay, I want to ask if someone would like to take over convening this group from me, as I no longer am able to commit the time to it

      Hey @louisewaters, lemme jump in here.

      First of all, it’s absolutely fine that you availability has changes and it’s time to give the SIG less attention — thank you for being explicit about it and making this post.

      Identifying which SIGs should be under new management, which ones should change focus and which ones should be closed was always something Q struggled with, but this year we’re starting a new process (you should have received an email about it — sorry about that!) that might help us understand exactly that and also how to provide more value to great convenors like you.

      We’re just starting to prototype a future interaction where we let the whole community know which SIGs are currently leaderless and test which ones spark interest. So until that happens (by October-ish) there’s no much to be done here, unless somebody raises their hand as a successor. If so, please just tag me here and I’ll have a chat with them 🙂

      Thanks again for the transparency! And hope you still get a lot of value out of Q even as a non-convenor.
