You are invited to The Big Conversation for Improvement! It is a two-day online improvement event on Wednesday 11th & Thursday 12th May 2022.
The programme is designed around busy schedules, meaning you are able to drop in and out of the event as you choose.
    The Big Conversation aims to:
    • Seek out, share and spread improvement successes, especially those that are less formalised, less well known and that have been achieved by people experiencing and working across health and care services at extraordinary times.
    • Provide an inclusive, all welcome opportunity to reflect on the past two years, discuss the breadth and depth of improvement ideas and share our learning.
    • Connect people across the system and invite everyone to share insights and ideas on how to tackle the challenges facing our NHS.

    Programme structure:
Day 1 will be a virtual conference. There will be a series of workshops on practical improvement topics, improvement skills and big improvement ideas that can positively impact health and care. We will also be showcasing colleagues and teams shortlisted for the inaugural National Improvement Awards. The day will end with the announcement of the award winners and a reflection on the shared successes achieved by improving together.

Day 2 will be an “open conversation” day. 36 pre-planned sessions will be led by teams and colleagues across health and care. Personal stories and unique experiences will be shared relating to health and care improvement challenges, skills and improvement practices will be showcased, along with group discussions and teams who require help in solving a problem – let us know if you’d like to host one of these sessions.

Guest speakers include Don Berwick, Bola Owolabi, General Stanley McChrystal and Marc Harrison.
