    Hi All,
Happy New Year! An opportunity for 2022.
I wanted to make you aware that Special Interest Groups have an opportunity to apply for funding of up to £20k to support collaborative working and strengthen networks. Closing date for applications is the 28th February with workshops to support idea development over the next couple of weeks including an introductory session next Tuesday (11th Jan) and 10th February.

It would be great to hear if anyone would like to get involved in collaborating on this opportunity, please do share any ideas etc you have. I am hoping to attend the first hour of the session on the 11th (unfortunately can’t join the whole session) to find out more about the remit and purpose, if you would like to find out more and sign up for the workshop please visit – https://q.health.org.uk/get-involved/supporting-q-connections/
    Best Wishes,
    Emma

    • Hi All,
Apologies for the delay in posting this update. I attended the workshop on the 11th January to find out more about the funds and the opportunities.

The funding is focused on supporting the SIGs to become thriving communities of practice that are connected.

The workshop started to explore some of the challenges that SIGs face and then started to identify some potential collaborative projects that could help address these.

There were some common themes identified, I have included some illustrative examples i.e.
Lack of Resources – time, people, money
Challenges around Communications – such as functionality of the SIG platform, sharing information within and between SIGs, sharing learning of what works

It would be great to hear from you to add to these discussions:
What would you like to gain from being a member of a SIG (i.e. benefits to you)?
What are the challenges (problems, barriers) in achieving this?
How could we address those challenges? Is there a potential collaborative project to take forward?

It would be great to hear from you what these are and we can hopefully feed them into the next meeting on the 10th. However,
I am unfortunately not able to join the next meeting on the 10th February and so if anyone from this group can it would be great if you could feedback any key messages.

I look forward to hearing from you,

      Best Wishes,

      Emma
