Happy New Year everyone. As some of you may know, I’ve helped convene and chair the Q primary care events over the past year or so. As we go into 2022, it feels like a good opportunity to make this more collaborative and get more of the Q primary care community involved. So if you have ideas about themes/ events you want to hear more on, or would like to host an event yourself, then please get in touch with me by Friday 14th January. My email is rammya.mathew@nhs.net, or can you message me on here also.
There is a funding opportunity we can apply for that is currently just open to SIGs (which means that your time and effort given to organising and hosting events can potentially be remunerated) – more info here: https://q.health.org.uk/get-involved/supporting-q-connections/
In essence, the award/ grant is to support
> applied peer learning (eg funding for Communities of Practice or Action Learning Sets).
> events, such as workshops and webinars, that build understanding of and engagement in Special Interest Groups.
> network analysis to further develop Special Interest Groups.
> activities and capacity for a more detailed diagnosis of what needs the SIG has, to strengthen network design, and to develop skills to evolve the group.
> to fund one or more convenor roles. For example, to make the activities above possible and sustain the SIG.New members also very much encouraged to get involved. It’s a great way of getting to know the community and making the most of the resources available to us through Q.
