I found the culture discussions most interesting and SCRUM was new to me. and I like the idea. I plan to use it in my Q Exchange idea. Please have a look at: https://q.health.org.uk/idea/2020/volatility-uncertainty-complexity-ambiguity-quality-improvement-plan-do-study-act/
Thanks Thomas,
I’ll have a watch and post any reflections I have; much appreciated…
Gareth
I’ve been giving some thought on how using an Adaptive Space fits in with a Holacracy style of an organisation’s structure. I’m sure it’s necessary for the Holacracy to function.
Hi Thomas,
Don’t as yet know anything really about Holacracy; can you suggest any good introductory resources at all?
Thanks, Gareth
It’s funny you should say that – Holacracy certainly seems to leave out whole aspects of organisational life.
I think it encourages people to fill them how they like, but people often don’t realise. Not certain though.
I remember when I worked for a Holacracy training org in the UK the person who founded it also offered a rather different kind of course too – focused on the area Holacracy leaves out. Or, at least, he was planning to.
I must admit that I never managed to get quite clear on what was really missing from Holacracy and needing to be supplemented.
Always felt like a ‘Processing Tensions’ agenda item might be an easy way to get staff-wide continuous improvement more easily onto the agenda…?!
Gareth,
I’m unable to recommend a book but the clip above discusses a Holacracy.
